Almond Nog - Becca Piastrelli

You’ve landed on a post I wrote a few years ago -
back when I was known as The Dabblist and was exploring all sorts of ways I could create beautiful things with my hands. It was a powerful time for me — awakening my creativity after suppressing it for so long — but this space has since evolved to reflect the woman I’m becoming.

In high school, I worked at a very popular coffee shop chain that was known for their eggnog lattes during the holiday season. Believe me, people love their eggnog. I made a lot of those lattes. Too many. I couldn't bear the smell of the 'nog after that...until recently. I have been craving some serious nog. But dairy and I aren't the best of friends, so I've been looking into other options.

Enter glorious almond milk, add in stomach soothing fresh nutmeg and sweeten with the power of dates. You'll definitely need a high powered blender for this one, but it's a creamy yummy delight.


3 cups Almond Milk (or another nondairy milk)

1/2 banana

1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg

1/2 tbsp. cinnamon

1 tsp almond extract

2 dates, pitted

Blend until smooth, yum!
