Today, I’m going to continue my love affair with honey, but will instead focus on other ways it can benefit you body – namely an upset stomach. With the addition of tummy-loving herbs - fennel seed, coriander, and cumin - honey will soothe the unhappiest of gastrointestinal woes.
Happy Tummy Honey
- 1 c. raw honey (like this)
- 2 tbsp. powdered fennel seed (like this)
- 2 tbsp. powdered coriander (like this)
- 1 tsp. powdered cumin (like this)
Place the fennel seed, coriander, and cumin in a clean coffee grinder, and grind into a fine powder. Set aside.
Pour your honey into a sterilized jar, and place in a shallow water bath over low heat. Be sure not to boil the water. Once the honey is warm and easier to stir, add in the powdered herbs and stir until well combines. Remove from the water bath and let cool.
Make a cup of Happy Tummy tea when you have an upset stomach. Add a spoonful of honey to 1 cup of hot water and mix well. Drink up, love!
