Until recently, when I read the word "detox" I associated it with "green" and "cold." Don't get me wrong, I love my green juices and smoothies. They are my go-to method for infusing my bod with vitamins and nutrients on a daily basis.
The thing is, a girl wants a warming detox beverage from time to time. This is especially true during these colder, winter months. So I whipped up a frothy, warm shake that will go perfectly after your days of juice cleansing. Enjoy, and be well!
Ginger Chai Warming Detox Drink
- 1c. warm brewed rooibos tea (like this)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 c. almond milk
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tbsp raw honey (like this)
Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Drink before it cools for optimal digestion and to warm you up.

This is just what I needed! I am 5 days into a 21 day reboot/cleanse and am missing warm, comforting drinks during these cold, polar vortex days! I’m going to try this right now!
