I've recently learned a cool trick. It has to do with olive oil, herbs, and your freezer.
You can preserve fresh herbs in olive oil by freezing them into cubes for later use.
I shall demonstrate with homegrown thyme, lemon verbena, and sage.
It's pretty straightforward. Chop up your herbs and combine them in an ice tray with olive oil and freeze.
And, just like that, you've got delicious herby olive oil at the ready in your freezer for your next dinner.
