Daily Juice: Liver Detox - Becca Piastrelli

Hey there,

creative gal!

You’ve landed on a post I wrote a few years ago -
back when I was known as The Dabblist and was exploring all sorts of ways I could create beautiful things with my hands. It was a powerful time for me — awakening my creativity after suppressing it for so long — but this space has since evolved to reflect the woman I’m becoming.

Guys, how often do you think about your liver? I'll be honest, I don't consider my liver often enough. And that's not really fair, since the liver is an incredible organ that is worthy of our praise and care. The liver is the clean-up crew for all the additives, antibiotics, synthetic chemicals, and other toxins we take into our body. It's a filter for all these toxic substances but, when put under a lot of stress and flooded with a high volume of the bad stuff, the liver suffers. I've been feeling like a little mind/body early spring cleaning lately, and decided to make a juice that could de-stress and clean out the gunk in my liver. This one tastes really good!

Ingredients:

1 organic cucumber

1 inch nub of ginger

3 leaves large bok choi

3 mini red beets
