On a gloriously sunny Sunday morning, I decided I'd try something a little crazy, a little out of my daily routine, and make deconstructed iced coffee.
I began with the usual coffee from my beloved French Press.
I poured that coffee into an ice tray.
And froze that coffee!
Once the coffee was sufficiently frozen, I added them to a deliciously cold cup of milk and let the magic happen!
I sat in my little breakfast nook, drinking in the sunshine as the coffee cubes melted into the milk moment by moment. I'm thinking you could do it the other way, too - freeze cubes of flavored milk and add it to your coffee. I think I'll do that next!
Great idea! Did the final beverage taste watery? Did you brew the coffee extra strong? I love the frozen milk idea too.
Final beverage was super delicious! Yes, I recommend brewing the coffee extra strong next time but I was drinking small amounts so it never got really watery.
Yum! I am going to have to try this. Perfect for summer!
try it in almond milk.. yummm 🙂
Shasta! The milk in the picture is almond milk – great minds think alike. So creamy and delightful 🙂
I LOVE this! Totally trying it soon. Thanks!
