Chamomile Flower Wine - Becca Piastrelli

Hey there,

creative gal!

You’ve landed on a post I wrote a few years ago -
back when I was known as The Dabblist and was exploring all sorts of ways I could create beautiful things with my hands. It was a powerful time for me — awakening my creativity after suppressing it for so long — but this space has since evolved to reflect the woman I’m becoming.

Herbal inspiration! Combine chamomile flowers with white wine to make a truly refreshing and medicinal libation.

making flower wine

750 ml dry white wine

3/4 c dried chamomile flowers

grated zest of 1 lemon

infusing wine with camomile

Combine the chamomile, lemon zest, and wine in a jar and store in a cool, dark place for 3-4 days.

That's it! Infusion complete. Strain the chamomile and lemon zest out of the wine and keep cool in the fridge.

The flavor can be a little intense, so I combined the wine in a glass with bubbly water. A little extra sparkle is never a bad thing.
