Beet Lip & Cheek Tint

Hey there,

creative gal!

You’ve landed on a post I wrote a few years ago -
back when I was known as The Dabblist and was exploring all sorts of ways I could create beautiful things with my hands. It was a powerful time for me — awakening my creativity after suppressing it for so long — but this space has since evolved to reflect the woman I’m becoming.

Beet Lip & Cheek Tint

I love how easy and lovely this lip and cheek tint is. Four simple ingredients and a nice subtle pop of color.

I used fresh beets as the main coloring ingredient (I’ve made a blush with dried beets as well) and added in moisturizing honey, olive oil, and vitamin e oil. The vitamin e oil helps to preserve, but it’s basically raw so use it quickly.

I like to rub it on my cheekbones to look fresh and flush for date night, but you can dab it on your lips as well.

Beet Lip & Cheek Tint

  • 1 organic Red Beet, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Raw Honey
  • 1 tsp Vitamin E oil

Combine all the ingredients with an immersion blender or food processor until smooth. You don’t want any chunky beet bits leftover. Pour into container (I like these) and it’s ready to apply.

Keep in the fridge for up to 1 month.
