I was delighted to throw my dear friend Lauren a backyard baby shower this past weekend, and I thought I'd share a little bit of it with you. It was so much fun to have a reason to join with good girlfriends to get crafty and create a feast for a community of women celebrating a mother-to-be.
We put together a mimosa bar, which I highly recommend for a brunch party. We included lavender and ginger syrup, along with mango and orange juice.
Water made fancy, with a little fresh mint and some lemon slices.
Pink deviled eggs care of my talented friend Monica. The secret is soaking them overnight in beet pickling juice.
Lauren is having a little girl she is naming Isabella (Izzy), so set up a Make-A-Barrette Station.
We finished with cupcakes and frozen cappuccino (recipe from Shutterbean).
There is so much more I'd like to share, but I was having such a good time that I wasn't able to take photos of everything. This last one, however, is my favorite. That is one gorgeous mama to be!
Becca, what a lovely shower you threw! It all looks so lovely – thanks for sharing the pictures!
78 but still young at heart do I fit in?? Planning a big baby shower for my granddaughter using a lot of your ideas.
